Ken and his son Ethan (2nd and 3rd generation pawnbrokers) run the daily operations. Ethan is a graduate of the prestigious GIA (Gemological Institute of America) and a certified Glock armorer. Ken has over 20 years in the industry, appreciates all his clientele and knows hundreds of his customers by name.

What is a Pawn?

A pawn is a cash loan secured with collateral that is kept at the pawn shop for the term of the loan.

Anyone 18 years or over with a valid ID may pawn their items. If you live in the San Diego area and need quick cash, come to Royal Loan. Just bring your collateral (jewelry, gold,guns,guitars….).

·         There are no credit checks, no loan applications and no monthly payments.

·         If you don't pick up your item, it does not negatively affect your credit.

·         The loan term is 4 months and may be extended with payment of loan fees.

·         All interest rates are regulated by the State of California.

·         All information is held in the strictest of confidence.

Guns and Firearms

What does it take to buy a firearm?

·         You must be a California resident with a valid California ID or driver's license.

·         If you're active military stationed in California, you'll need to present your military ID and your PCS orders.

·         To buy a handgun you must be at least 21 years of age.

·         To buy a rifle or shotgun you must be at least 21 years of age.

·         Any felony and certain misdemeanors will prevent purchase of any firearm.

·         Must do a background check with a 10 day waiting period.​

·         New and Pre-Owned Firearms in stock

o    We are a full FFL permitted to purchase, pawn, and sell firearms​

·         FFL transfer

o    We offer FFL transfers for individuals. Fees are $90.00(+tax), 7.75% Use Tax on item, & $25 DROS fee​

·         FSC Certificates

o    We offer the test needed for the Firearm Safety Certificate required to purchase firearms
